The Skyhawk Stage III Whopper Stopper

This 4 stroke motorized bicycle engine kit comes with everything you need to convert most V-frame bicycle to a 49cc gas powered scooter. Simply clamp on the engine, install the sprocket, gas tank, and other hardware and you'll be up a running in a couple of hours. Installation requires some tools and a moderate mechanical apptitude.

High quality 4 stroke Hua Sheng engine gets you 150mpg with top speeds of about 35 MPH (pretty fast on a bicycle). These things are built to last and require virtually no maintenance.

With the built in clutch you maintain full function of the original bike. Pedal, shift, and ride your bike like normal. When you want to engage the engine simply release the clutch hand lever and the engine springs to life. To power off simply press the included kill switch.

This kit is legal in almost all states. Most laws stipulate that any motorized vehicle under 50cc is legal to operate without a license, registration, or insurance. You can find a kit with a larger engine, but you will be required to have a drivers license and you must license, register, and insure your scooter. Don't bother with the hassle--get the biggest engine available that doesn't require license, registration, and insurance!

2000 Miles and still running great. I purchased my 49cc engine around early spring of 2008. I ride every day to and from work and around local areas. I love it and so does most people I encounter. Big plus is to seal up your gear case and add gear oil lube. Makes riding alot smoother and easier on the engine. I'm ready to build a new 2 stoke now. Thanks, Johnny Rockford. Kansas city, Mo.

I received ny engine in Nov. of '07 and I loved it until today when I found out that in AZ, anything over 48cc must be registered. Other than that I love mine.

Hey guys,the lube for the gearbox is a super idea-worked great.the problem with the sprocket is the spoke sandwich mounting-no good. I fixed that by installing the heavy duty axle kit(but this forces a single speed sprocket pedal setup,and kills the shifting on the bike)This also requires heavy duty spokes and a heavy steel rim plus labour to assemble.This ups the weight of the bike to about 100 lbs.or so.

HI, I received my kit last week then went and bought a new Schwinn 5 speed cruiser, dark blue and silver in color. I painted the tank and chain guard to match, bolted everything together then took it for a spin. Everywhere I go it draws a crowd, it's totally amazing! A great product at a great price. The only recommendation I have is go out and by some high grade bolts to replace the exhaust studs and motor mount bolts.

Finally we have a bolt and go kit that is reliable and wont make you hard of hearing. The computer cut gears winding up sounds like a mini jet engine warming up and really gives you confidence to go fast ... :) I recommend a dab of grease on both bushings and a Dixie cup of 85-145wt Lucas gear oil.
