This is an old school, Made In USA 24 inch Huffy with industrial steel rims (12 gauge spokes), original caliper Brakes and vintage Vista "genrator" light. Frames made in USA are extremely durable. (serial numbers are stamped in the frame) I try to grab them up whenever I run across one. The engines fit easily. Back in the days all frames made in the USA by law had to pass very rigid quality control and were made as if they had a life time guarantee, which some did. Just like Craftsman hand tools and Zippo lighters. Having the serial number stamped in the frame also helps identify your bike for insurance purposes. They are covered for theft by most renter's and homeowner policies, if you list it on your inventory. Liability & personal injury coverage is pretty much the same as any motor sport policy, similar to a dirt bike. Mine is $24/yr |
