Warranty Policy

Most products sold by Bicycle-Engines.com are covered by a 30-day limited manufacturer’s warranty and an extended 6-month limited warranty provided by bicycle-engines.com. The limited warranty is against defects in materials and workmanship.

• To initiate a warranty claim:
  Contact our customer service team with your order information and give a description of the issue. We may require photos or additional details to process your claim. Additionally, your warranty claim will require completion of the warranty claim form linked above.
• Warranty limitations:
  The warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.

Limited Warranty Exclusions

Engines of any type. Any purchase containing an engine or kit which includes an engine has a strict NO RETURN POLICY. No refunds or exchanges will be made for these products unless they are defective. Should you have a defective part, we will ship out free spare parts after we receive proof of your defective part. Due to the nature of these products we are unable to accept any “like new” returns.

Complete bicycles of any type. Any purchase containing a complete bicycle has a strict NO RETURN POLICY. No refunds or exchanges will be made for these products unless they are defective. Should you have a defective part, we will ship out free spare parts after we receive proof of your defective part. Due to the nature of these products we are unable to accept any “like new” returns.

Please be advised that the appearance of rust on iron cylinders is a natural and expected occurrence due to the material’s exposure to moisture and air. This rusting is not a defect and does not affect the safety, integrity, or performance of the cylinder.

Items Not Covered Under the Limited Warranty

• Damage caused by incorrect installation and maintenance, failure to follow the directions included, or otherwise used in a manner not intended.
• Normal wear and tear - including cosmetic damage after use.
• Damage resulting from the addition of parts or accessories not included with the original motorized bicycle kit or the use of non-OEM parts.
• Damage caused by neglect, misuse, or abuse including, but not limited to accidents, stunts, races, or other extreme riding.
• Damage resulting from vandalism, theft, fire, or other acts of God.
• Damage resulting from unauthorized attempts to repair other damages.
• Purchases or use outside the US.
• Warranty does not cover any labor charge.
• Damage caused by overheating
• Damage caused by over-revving engine
• Stripped nuts and bolts
• Incorrectly torqued head bolts
• Damage or failure of disposable or consumable parts including but not limited to:
  • Spark plugs
  • Fuel and air filters
  • Chains
  • Cables
  • Hoses
  • Gaskets
  • T-belts
  • Grips
  • Wiring or wire connectors
  • Brake or clutch pads
  • Lubricants and oils
  • Tires, tubes, and other miscellaneous bicycle parts
• Cosmetic scratches, dents, cracks, blemishes, or discoloration

Return Policy

Eligible Returns

• Standard products may be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging with all accessories and documentation.
• All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please contact us or visit our return portal to obtain an RMA before shipping any items back.
• Returned items will be inspected upon receipt. Items not in original, unused condition may be denied a refund.
• All returns are subject to a restocking fee.
• Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. In accordance with our return policy, a pre-paid return label may be provided by bicycle-engines.com.

Non-Returnable Items

• Engine Kits & Engine-Ready Bicycles:
  For safety and regulatory reasons, engine kits and engine-ready bicycles are non-returnable once gasoline or any fuel has been added, or if the engine has been operated.
• Once fuel has been introduced or the engine run, these items are classified as hazardous materials and cannot be shipped via UPS, FedEx, USPS, or any standard carrier under federal law.
• Do not attempt to return any engine kit or engine-ready bicycle that has been fueled or used, as we are legally unable to accept or process these returns.
• Custom-built or special-order items are also non-returnable.

Closeout & Discontinued Items

All closeout or discontinued items are excluded from warranty replacements. We do not keep replacement parts for these items on hand. Bicycle-engines.com does not offer returns, exchanges, or warranties on closeout or discontinued items.

Shipping Restrictions for Fueled Products

Federal regulations prohibit the shipment of any product that has contained gasoline or other flammable liquids. Attempting to ship such items via common carriers is illegal and may result in fines or penalties.
If you have added fuel to your product, do not attempt to return it by USPS, FedEx, UPS, or any standard carrier.

Warranty Service for Fueled/Used Engines

If your fueled or used engine kit or engine-ready bicycle requires warranty service, please contact our customer service team for instructions. Do not ship any item that has contained fuel.
