With their signature wide, stable feel, a fat tire bike is the perfect tool for extending your riding season if you live where it’s snowy or wet, or if you’re looking to ride on sand or other loose surfaces.

Because fat tire bikes have larger, wider tires than even your typical mountain bike, they can provide extra traction and security so you can ride all year long. Combined with a suspension fork to better absorb chatter on the road and mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors that have all the stopping power to keep you on riding all year long.

Regardless if it’s wet stone, muddy paths, sandy dunes or snowy hills, these bikes will take you anywhere and are a great option for exploring the world of custom motorized bikes without breaking the bank.

GENERALLY NOT COMPATIBLE with 4-stroke engine kits

Compatible with 2-stroke kits with modifications including, but not limited to:

The size and shape of the downtube requires a modified large frame adapter. The existing front mounting studs on the engine must be replaced with a low-profile bolt or very short studs with nuts.

The irregular shape of the top tube may prohibit using the frame mounted gas tank included with most complete kits. Modification to the tank and mounting brackets may be required for use. A seat post or rear mount gas tank are also recommended as replacement options.

Internal frame clearance is minimal – there is not enough clearance for the standard carburetor with a standard intake. An offset or “Z” carburetor intake may allow enough clearance for the carb to be properly installed. An upgraded DIO kit with the angled intake or the use of a CNS carburetor with the 90° intake may work as well.

This bike has rear disc brakes and with the 4” wide tires there isn’t any room to install a rear drive sprocket or have it properly aligned. To keep the use of the rear disc brakes you would need a jackshaft shift kit to move the drivetrain to the bike’s rear cassette. If a small (36T>) sprocket does fit, you would need to remove the rear disc brake and purchase linear pull (V-pull) brakes. Other solutions may also be possible.
